Jennie Iverson - Chief Curator 

Jennie IversonJennie Iverson is the author of Ski Town Après Ski. She lives in Vail, Colorado with her family and is the best-selling author of Ski Town Soups, which was published at the end of 2012. Jennie is also a wife and a mother of 3 fast-growing boys with healthy, enormous appetites. After savoring days on the mountain, Jennie and her family enjoy "special drinks" and snacks around the fire, sharing stories about the day's events.

Jennie considers herself a gourmet in the kitchen, but more evidently a gourmand -- enjoying restaurants, bistros and any dining establishment where she can sit down to others' creations. She also thoroughly enjoys traveling to other ski towns, as she relishes locals who take advantage of the outdoors and surrounding mountains. To sample some of the best soups for Ski Town Soups and appetizers and drinks for Ski Town Après Ski, Jennie has traveled to Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, Mt. Bachelor, Mt. Hood, Whitefish Mountain, Big Sky, Moonlight Basin, Heavenly, Northstar, Park City, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Buttermilk, Bretton Woods, Canyons, Deer Valley, Keystone, Killington, Mad River Glen, Sugarbush, Okemo, Smugglers' Notch, Steamboat, Stowe, Stratton, and Whiteface. What has grown from these travel experiences has been a perfectly balanced recipe for life: a ski town, a comfortable restaurant and a yummy food dish to share with the family. Reaffirming that one should raise a glass in a toast, more often.

Professionally and following the launch of Ski Town Soups, Jennie has relished in many extraordinary culinary opportunities: guest judging the Lake Tahoe soup-cooking competition, launching the inaugural Park City Soup Crawl, guest appearances at The Cottage at Mirror Lake and Omni Mount Washington Resort, covering the Stowe Wine & Food Classic, authoring monthly articles for the Vail Daily, blogging about Aspen's SoupSkol competition and following many renowned food events, such as Feast!Vail, Beaver Creek Food & Wine Festival, Taste of Vail, Cochon555, Denver Burger Battle, Blues, Brews and BBQ and Gourmet on Gore.

Jennie Iverson has quickly become a foremost expert on ski town cuisine.


Jen Baker - Experiential Epicurean

Jen and Jennie met many years ago over their shared love of all things food. Jen believes that some of the best moments in life happen around the table. So, a friendship blossomed very quickly from nights spent “dining-in” with their ravenous, all-male family members. Like Jennie, Jen is raising a house full of boys (including the dog) with her husband of 14 years. Jen’s time spent preparing meals for her family and friends has always been her favorite part of the day in which she has affectionately termed this her “Zen Jen Time.” Her love for cooking began at an early age with her Swiss mother sharing her European-based style of cooking with her. There was never a meal lacking depth of flavor (or butter) throughout her entire childhood, and this carried over into Jen’s adulthood as she started to develop her own cooking style (with slightly less butter).

Having lived the past 12 years in the Vail Valley, Breckenridge, and Crested Butte ski towns; Jen is a qualified adventurer and always up for the next amazing quest. She is a wife, mom, event planner by trade, skier, mountain biker, world traveler and is always seeking out the most exceptional escapades and dining experiences. Recognizing that the kitchen isn’t a zen place for all people, Jen hopes to share her tips and tricks for how to prepare easy meals that are sure to please even the toughest of crowds (usually our children)! Thanks to Ski Town’s exceptionally curated recipes from ski town chefs across the country, they have taken the guesswork out of what to make and the meals are always sure to impress even the most discerning palettes. Jen looks forward to sharing her passion for ski town living and its uniqueness both in and out of the kitchen with all of you.
