Having not been to Lake Placid or the glorious Mirror Lake Inn resort grounds, we had to take advantage of all the offerings! We arrived late in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 19, and were able to savor a dinner at The Cottage Café, which features the Cottage Chili recipe in the Ski Town Soups cookbook. I had a bright, crisp salad of arugula, heirloom tomatoes, goat cheese and lemon basil vinaigrette. It was absolutely divine, and especially tasty with the baked brie cheese plate!
