Earlier this year, Talisker Corporation Executive Chef John Murcko was named a semifinalist for the prestigious James Beard Foundation Awards, honoring excellence among culinary professionals. Executive Chef John Murcko is highlighted on a chef profile page in the Ski Town Soups cookbook. He brings more than 20 years of professional culinary experience to the Talisker Restaurant Collection and, along with his team, recently dazzled guests at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival’s “An Artist at the Table”.
In the Ski Town Soups cookbook, Roasted Tomato Soup is shared courtesy of Chef Murcko. This recipe is highlighted at Bistro, the newest restaurant at Canyons Resort in Park City, Utah, which opened just before the December 2011 holiday season. Bistro serves gourmet “Modern American” cuisine in a Parisian-style intimate dining room. Bistro at Canyons is the nation’s first kosher restaurant located in a ski resort.
Canyons Resort, a Talisker mountain destination in Park City, Utah, is the fourth-largest ski resort in North America and includes five world-class hotels. The resort is home to the Orange Bubble Express, which is North America’s most technologically advanced and first heated chair lift! In 2011, Canyons proposed an 8-passenger gondola known as SkiLink that, subject to approvals, will connect Canyons and Solitude resorts in just 11 minutes to create the most unique ski network in North America. Solitude Mountain Resort is also featured in Ski Town Soups with two scrumptious soup recipes!
