Holidays are here! And, since I am an enormous proponent of anything celebratory, especially around Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the next few blog posts will be holiday-centric. For ease, I am categorizing the holiday event schedules by state. Enjoy!
Montana Holiday Events
Christmas Stroll, Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1, allows you to stroll the streets for Christmas gifts and enjoy special goodies from local merchants. Visit Santa, take a wagon ride and spread the holiday cheer!
Holiday night skiing opens on December 25.
Under the Big Sky Holiday Festival features 75 artists from Missoula and the surrounding region and takes place on November 24 – 26 in Missoula. And, on Monday, December 3, Big Sky's festive kickoff to the holiday season is at the 16th annual Madrigal Dinner: a fantastic three-course dinner and holiday music from the Montana State University Montanans, the MSU Brass Quintet, and the MSU Chorale. Additionally, there will be a Christmas Stroll on December 14 and Pancakes with Santa on December 15, along with other events.
Near Blacktail is Lakeside and Somers, Montana. In the Lakeside School, there will be a West Shore Holidayfest on Saturday, December 1. This event includes a quality art and craft show, delicious food, bake sale, raffles, an entertainment stage, photos with Santa, a ‘Kids-Only’ market, ornament crafting for kids, both silent and live auctions.
Saturday, December 8 is opening day at Moonlight Basin and you may spend your Christmas Eve with a service and celebration at the Moonlight Lodge.
